Why did HEX USD's price boom today? Crypto market attracts buyers
HexCoin ( HEX-USD ) tokens gained as much as 14.9% in Friday's session as traders hit the buy button after a stronger-than-expected jobs report highlighted softer wages. In the midst of a broad risk-on day, HEX changed hands at $0.0244, the highest level seen since Dec. 20, but still down significantly from its all-time high of $0.48 on Sept. 22, 2021. Bitcoin ( BTC-USD ), which is seen as a gauge for the entire crypto market cap, drifted up 0.5% to $16.92K, and ethereum ( ETH-USD ), the world's largest alt-coin by market cap, rose 1.1% to $1.26K. Overall, the global crypto market cap of $822.84B increased 0.5%, down from $3T at the November 2021 peak, according to CoinMarketCap data .
