Liquidity token rockets to nearly one-year high after Binance listing
Stablecoin lender Liquidity saw its native token LQTY ( LQTY-USD ) soar as much as 128% to an 11-month high in Tuesday morning trading after crypto exchange Binance listed the crypto in its Innovation Zone, according to a release. The token jumped to an intraday high of $2.87 earlier in the session, marking the highest level seen since April 2022, and has since pared its gains to $2.00 as of 11:32 a.m. ET. Accompanied by the price spike was a surge in trading volume, roaring about 4,600% to $162.51M at the time of writing, according to CoinMarketCap data . It has total value locked of just shy of $600M. Spot trading pairs LQTY/BTC and LQTY/USDT, representing bitcoin ( BTC-USD ) and tether ( USDT-USD ) trading pairs respectively, were listed on Binance effective 11:00 UTC (6:00 a.m. ET), the release said.
