Hut 8 Mining ( NASDAQ: HUT ) mined 188 bitcoin ( BTC-USD ) in January 2023, resulting in an average production rate of approximately 6.1 bitcoin per day. That marks a growth of 16.7% compared to 161 bitcoin mined in December 2022 . As of January 31, total bitcoin balance held in reserve was 9,274 - the largest amount of self-mined bitcoin in reserve of any publicly-traded company The company expect to sell its January bitcoin production to fund operating costs. On February 7, 2023, Hut 8 ( HUT ) agreed to merge with US Bitcoin Corp in all-stock merger
