Riot Blockchain (RIOT) announces the appointment of Jason Les as Chief Executive Officer.Mr. Les has served as an independent director on the Board of Directors since 2017, and will continue to remain as a member. He has been deeply involved with Bitcoin since 2013, with significant experience in both mining and as an engineer studying protocol development and contributing to open-source projects.Jeff McGonegal appointed CEO in early 2019, to return to focus on his long-standing position as Chief Financial Officer, a position held since 2003.Company also announced that Hannah Cho has been appointed to the Board of Directors, effective today.Shares +17.7% pre-marketEarlier today (Feb. 8): Bitcoin tops $42K after Tesla invests in crypto
