The GlobalFieldDay Campaign Set to End on October 22; Winners Will Receive $100K to Allocate Towards a Charity of Their Choice

The GlobalFieldDay campaign, an initiative launched to support a return-to-play after a long year of lockdowns and movement restrictions, is set to end on October 22. This campaign kicked off on August 23 with the support of Raiinmaker, a blockchain-focused influencer marketing platform that leverages crypto tokens to reward engagement.

The campaign’s debut was graced by Green Bay Packers’ Devin Funchess, who managed to catch a football drop from a helicopter hovering at 750 feet high. A crowd of 50 children was also present at the event, which took place at the Denver Broncos stadium.

Besides supporting the return-to-play, the GlobalFieldDay campaign has also raised funds towards youth initiatives in collaboration with World Youth Horizons, Global Entrepreneurship Network, and Laudato Tree.

At the onset of the campaign, Raiinmaker’s Founder, J.D Seraphine, was keen to note the importance of supporting innovative youths,

“We are at a critical point as a species with the stakes higher than ever, so it’s only natural that the focus of #GlobalFieldDay is empowering the youth and specifically innovators who are stepping up around the world to solve the biggest challenges that we face.”

Leveraging Blockchain Ecosystems for a Noble Cause

The current model of most blockchain innovations is focused on building fundamental value while little emphasis is being paid to making a social impact. Raiinmaker’s GlobalFieldDay campaign is among the pioneer initiatives in the crypto ecosystem to give back to the community through charity events.

Having gone viral after the spectacular kick-off, the GlobalFieldDay campaign attracted prominent stakeholders from various industries, including sports, entertainment and social media personalities. Some notable celebrities who took part in this noble cause include Pitbull, Julie Ertz (Olympian & Professional Soccer Player) and Josh Richards (TikTok/Influencer), to mention a few.

The campaign featured a 30-day charitable social media challenge, with the participants competing in five teams of influencers, celebrities and athletes. These participants competed in three virtual challenges; planking, push-ups and victory dance, with the goal being to raise awareness through posting their challenge videos on Raiinmaker’s mobile application.

With the challenge coming to an end, Raiinmaker is set to announce the winner, who will receive $100,000 to donate towards a charity of their choice. Notably, a prize pool of $100,000 will also be distributed to fans and communities that participated in the GlobalFieldDay campaign via the Raiinmaker app.

GlobalFieldDay Campaign Beneficiaries

As mentioned earlier, Raiinmaker partnered with several charity organizations set to benefit from the funds raised during the GlobalFieldDay campaign. The World Youth Horizon supports children from all backgrounds by giving them opportunities to explore and learn about new places hence inspiring brighter dreams for themselves and their families.

On the other hand, the Global Entrepreneurship Network, led by Jeff Hoffman, features a wide range of programs across 180 countries to support upcoming entrepreneurs. Last but not least, the Laudato tree foundation is led by 17-year old Vivienne Harr; the charity’s goal is to raise $42 million to be directed towards planting close to 7 million trees under the Great Green Wall of Africa initiative.

Wrap Up

As the blockchain community grows, it is only fair that stakeholders start giving back to the community. Decentralized charity events offer an opportunity for anyone across the globe to participate. Even better, the tech-savvy nature of individuals in the blockchain industry can go a long way in inspiring more youths to pursue their innovative ideas.

The GlobalFieldDay campaign, which has been a success, will support the return-to-play and empower youth charities globally. Raiinmaker’s Founder J.D Seraphine previously emphasized that the initiative is focused on long-term goals,

“We wanted to focus on the positives and get back to being together, outside having fun. This is going to be a long-term initiative for us, and the goal is to be able to raise money for youth empowerment charities all over the world and to make a difference in the global landscape.”

That said, it is likely that we will see more blockchain-driven charity events in the coming years, given the rate at which the industry is growing. This will not only be fundamental to the beneficiaries but also the growth of the crypto ecosystem.
